Bruce's First NCAA Hoops Recruiting Letter

This week (just prior to his 6-month birthday) Bruce received his first basketball recruiting letter from an NCAA university in Southern California.













In the letter, Brian Newhall, Head Basketball Coach at Occidental College, says: "I've got great news. You (Bruce) have been recommended to me as an outstanding student-athlete who may qualify foir admission to Occidental college in Los Angeles."

After selling the Tigers basketball program to Bruce in the letter, Coach Newhall goes on to let Bruce know that if he responds with an enclosed questionaire that he will be calling Bruce (probably to arrange for a workout.)

As a final note on this latest milestone for Bruce ahead of the typical developmental curve... we expect the division 1 schools to follow suit this summer. And given his being partial to bears, Bruce isn't so sure about Occidental's "Tigers". With his parents guidance, Bruce will weigh all of his options carefully.
